Age Restrictions & Policies

Every shop you go to will have their own policies regarding age restrictions and other matters, the following are the standards that I feel comfortable with and I have not come to them lightly so please ensure to read them before coming in as I will not make any exceptions!
You must be 18 years old to receive any of the following:
-nipple piercing
-genital piercing
-micro-dermal
You must be 16 years old with consent to receive the following:
-transversal lobe
-industrial/orbital
-bridge/eyebrow
- labret/monroe
-vertical/horizontal labret
-smiley/web
-tongue
-cheek
-naval
You must be 14 years old with consent to receive the following:
-nostril
You must be 13 years old with consent to receive the following:
-basic ear cartilage
Anyone under the age of 13 can receive lobe piercing only!
Babies ear piercing
I require the consent of both the parent and the child before I will perform any piercing. This means that I will not pierce a child's ear until they are old enough to tell me they want it. I AM ASKING YOU PLEASE: DO NOT just go and get it done with the gun! I understand that you want your daughters ears pierced but the risks that come along with a gun piercing are not worth it! Not only is it extremely unsanitary, but there is a very small chance that the piercings will stay straight once her ears are done growing and those are only the start of the issue! If you are considering this please come talk with me first and I will answer any questions!
ID Requirements
You must have ID with you to get a piercing; regardless of your age. If you are signing for consent for a piercing you must provide ID for both yourself and the child. The ID must match either last names or address; I may also photocopy both pieces for my records. I reserve the right to refuse to perform a body piercing on a person of any age if I believe they cannot care for the piercing or if the piercing wanted would not heal properly. My reputation is on the line with every piercing that walks out the door, and I will not jeopardise that reputation by having a client not care for that piercing properly.
Outside Jewellery
If you are bringing in the jewellery for your piercing with you I ask that you make sure you know the material it's made of and the place that it was purchased. I will be sure to explain that I can't guarantee the quality of the metal and the risks that go along with low grade metals. After I have explained that to you, you must sign an extra part on the release form acknowledging that I have explained this. It may take up to a week to sterilize your jewellery for piercing, and there may also be additional charges for this service. As some jewellery is not intended for autoclave use and may tarnish I will not be held responsible for the cost of jewellery damaged by this process.
Jewellery Changes/Downsizing
I am often asked to change or adjust jewellery for people, and if you have purchased the piercing or jewellery from me I don't mind doing this at no charge! However if you have purchased the jewellery somewhere else I will charge a minimal fee to cover the cost of the tools and packaging I use for this service. If you are downsizing a piercing there will only be a small charge of the cost of jewellery, if I did not do the piercing there will be a charge for set up as well.
Refunds/Exchanges
In the case of manufacturer's defects in jewellery, you will be given two options: the same item in replacement or credit towards a different jewellery item. This will only be offered within a reasonable amount of time after the purchase. In all other cases, I will not offer refunds. I will however, make every effort to ensure the jewellery you purchase is the correct size and gauge for your piercing, and I will "install" the jewellery at no charge. If you are considering jewellery or a piercing as a gift for another individual I offer Gift Certificates, for either a specific dollar amount, or a specific jewellery item or piercing, we can figure out which would be best. I do not offer refunds for services provided or Gift Certificates.
